Did you know that there are about 2,000 varieties of clams? Littlenecks are among the smallest and sweetest. You can count on about 8 to 10 clams per pound. Not only are clams good for you they are also good for the ecosystem because they filter the water which improves water quality. They are excellent in linguini and clam sauce.
